@TheDjb28 no, it'll force the AF to focus and then take the pic, not just focus without taking a pic. why would you want to remote focus and NOT take the pic????

a few comments:
A - can also buy from eBay for around $4 of so
B - switch on back of remote for direct or 2sec delay mode (at least with my T3i)
C - you can be in any mode, even scene modes, it's just a remote shutter
D? - the sensor is on the grip, not the white/orange flashy light
E - on my T3i, i can be behind the camera and shoot into the viewfinder and it still works (weird)
F - nice that it takes CR2025 or CR2032 batteries which are CHEAP as dirt (3 for $1 at my local dollar store)

@TheLeonstjohn If ...
@TheLeonstjohn If the Zeikos works like the Canon RC-1, you can set any length exposure you want with it. Choose your settings on the camera, point the remote, press the button. Additionally, you can set your camera to Bulb mode (at least on the 7d) on the Mode Dial, and use the remote. In this case, one button press will open the shutter? and another will close it. And you can set you camera to either 10sec. or 2 sec delay.
